No! Haha. I knew I would get close. I guess this confirms it. I would love to get mine up to that speed though.

Yup, getting your back massaged at 190+ mph is relaxing

Both of these have full factory warranty. Aftermarket shops that have the software can make the speed unattainable and basically raise it to anything. Believe it or not, I would still have factory warranty as long as the dealership doesn't know. It's pretty pricey here. May end up doing some Renntech work, which will raise the limiter anyways.
when the SL55 came out there was a comparison of all super sportscars in germany, lambo, aston, porsche and the sl55. the SL55 was completly opened up and if i recall it right had a top speed of 320km/h plus something, it came in secound after the lambo. Thats when all the guys owning the SL55 came to Merc and said, whats the use of having 476 plus bhp when u are limited to 155mph, reason for that is tho just for info that BMW, Merc, and Audi said, that that is no need to go faster than 155mph anywhere, what bs is that.... Anyways so all it is is chip reprogramming, and warrenty issues... and its a rip off if you cant do the same at any dealership worldwide... keep me posted or if you want price info i will call a friend at Mercedes and ask him what the prices are for that in germany

for me it was 217mph indicated in the RT12 on an old 1.6 mile runway, true speed was 211mph through the laser traps, what an experience...!
