Thanks! That car has around 25 unique Brabus modifications. About half are cosmetic and half are performance related. Many were one-off designs that Claus authorized just for my car. According to Brabus, my car was the first SLK to run the '07 Brabus ECU flash. To my knowledge, it is the only one as well. People say a lot of things about Brabus - bad and good. But my experience with them has been absolutely great. In exchange for a few magazine articles featuring my car, they chipped in some nice goodies. Andreas - the sales manager - is one of the best people in the industry. I would not hesitate to send anyone there at any time.

With mods it dynos at about 420 hp and 470 tq to the crank. I have gotten 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds on my DriftBox with ESP on. If I turn the ESP off all the wheels do is SPIN.

It is a one-of-a-kind car worth waaaay more than I could ever get for it. The torque band is crazy. It feels as strong at 100 mph as it does at 45 mph.

It is staying in my garage for good.

Here is a short video shot the other day with my new camera mount:

It's pretty quiet considering the upgrades.

Well thanks for bursting my bubble!

The exhaust is stock. I upgraded the ECU, cams, and valve springs. I also lightened it up considerably. It has a lot of sound deadening in it - like any AMG. It is just perfect for daily driving and doesn't upset the neighbors.

For noise I have this:

I think it's a good thing - loud cars just attract too much unwanted attention. What better way to alert cops of your presence before you can see them?

Unless you have an exotic there's no need.

Great pics Dana! The Cars & Coffee in MN has been picking up steam, but we had to put the event on hold for 6 months while winter runs its course. Man, I really wish I lived in Cali sometimes...

Thanks for sharing Dana. I too miss the old Crystal Cove days. Early saturday morning, starbucks in hand, pacific ocean in the near distance, and some of the most amazing cars on the planet. Truly a treat for the car enthusiast. Cars and Coffee is cool as well, but doesn't match Crystal Cove for me.
