I was going through my older photos and came across a bunch from the first Cars & Coffee Irvine event on 10/20/06. I can't believe it has already been a year. This was about 2 weeks after the Irvine Company shut down the famous Crystal Cove car meet. We were not sure how it would pan out. Obviously, it turned out great and continues strong today.

I purchased my Turbo about 2-weeks after this event - cooincidence??? My wife would tell you no!

I don't believe I have ever posted these anywhere before.

Nothing will ever match the feel of the old Crystal Cove. It was totally impromptu and almost no commercial presence. In the early days of the Crystal Cove we all knew each other and would even test drive each other's cars! Then it got to where there were 500 cars per weekend. It became too much for all of those $10 million dollar home owner's in Newport Coast up behind the shopping center. To me, a Diablo at 5:00 am is like dieing and going to heaven. Unfortunately, not everyone shares my enthusiasm! And, the Irvine Company is one of our best clients!!

The Cars & Coffee meet is huge and very eclectic. If you are in Irvine and love cars, it doesn't get any better.

Yeah. The B55 is mine. I love that car. Had to slip a few of her in there!
