Radar and/or laser question

I figure if you can clock a baseball with a radar gun, you don't need a front plate to get a reading.

Radar reading on a baseball is much easier than a laser reading on a baseball, or on a car. Radar you point in the general direction and you can get a speed hit 95% of the time off a car, probably 75% of the time off a baseball. Laser HAS to be deadly accurate aim on your target, try getting your office laser pointer to stay on a baseball doing 100mph for a second, not easy.
