Looking for new Radar/Laser Detector

Hi, I am looking for some feedback here as I am going to be taking a few road trips in the upcoming months and do not feel like coming home with a bunch of tickets...

I have heard good things about the Escort 8500 x50. Is there a difference between blue and red besides the display color?

Is it worth the extra money for the 9500 if you only plan on using it on the highways?

Another vote for The V1. Best detector ever made.

If you go Escort, go 9500. The GPS technology is sweet, and helps to eliminate your daily false alarms.

If you are interested in the V1 I might consider selling mine... It's version 1.8 with all original boxes/papers.

I literally never get the chance to use it ever since they started construction on the highway to Austin/San Marcos and my commute to work is about 1/4 mile.
