if the Turbo does not look flshy enough for you,take a look at Aston Martin
I like Astons, but they just don't have the performance numbers. Moreover, I prefer AWD - the only exception I would make for a car of this level would be on a Ferrari 458 or maybe a McLaren - both of which are out of my price range.

At this point, unless the 997 turbo impresses the hell out of me, I think the R8 is going to be it.

I think I was just in Sport. Yes, I was flooring it. It was a chilly day, so maybe the tires weren't up to temp yet? Either way, I was a little disappointed by that.

On the other hand, when I drove the 430 Scud @ Exotics racing, it stuck well. It was a cold day then as well, but I'm sure the tires were hot from lapping all morning.

If I'm going Porsche, I'm going turbo and awd.

Why does the porsche have to be awd? A used 997 GT2 is in your price range, looks more aggresive then a regular TT and is much more fun to drive. But it will have a hard clutch and hard short throws of the stickshift. But if you drive a regular TT back to back with a GT2 you will be shocked by the difference. Just try it if you have a chance.
