I had the good fortune of test driving a 2007 GT3 RS today. Wow! Compared to my 997 S, it was awesome! I could not break the rear end loose. It just sticks! Those cup tires are great. It makes some great sounds. Not much different from my car at low rpms, but at 3500 rpm, it seems to almost have a turbo as it pushed me back in my seat! It keeps pulling until over 8000 rpms. As much a treat it was, I could not live with this car as a daily driver as I do with my 997S. The front is too low. I sometimes use the rear seats. But what a treat to drive!

 

Great writeup. For the exact same reasons as you, I cannot be using a GT3 as a daily driver.
