You may be right - I'd certainly be willing to give one a shot. I would have driven one at Exotics Racing, but they only had the N/A 911 there. I also tried to go to a local Porsche dealer, but they didn't have any turbo models in stock, so I just putted around in the base model.

The only thing that would prevent me from going with the 997TT is the styling. While they're not bad looking cars, they look just like every other Porsche to the layman.

That said, I REALLY do like the R8. It seems to be a good overall package.

Seems weird that the tires broke loose in 2nd, let alone 3rd. Maybe they were bald? Ive driven one and it didn't have that issue at all. Went full throttle in 2nd and was fine, unless you are turning?! No way in 3rd not enough power.

Try a .2 GT3 faster, cheaper, all around better than f430 imo

you did not drive it under daily driving conditions,...the older R-tronic makes your passengers nod their heads and shifts not exactly comfortable in slow city traffic,...there is also less "sensivity" when driving off, simply tack,1st gear and go,..
the Pcar makes it all more seamlessly yet can be driven hard if needed.

imo you are searching for a comfortable, good looking, yet fast car which has the presence of an exotic/special car to any onlookers

if the Turbo does not look flshy enough for you, take a look at Aston Martin

Just sold mine recently. My F430 is the best fun car I have ever owned. I had the F1 tranny and drove it ~ 20K miles in over 6 years. It maybe wasn't a DD but I don't think 2 days went by without driving it both conservatively when appropriate and aggressively under safe open highway conditions. Will I buy another Ferrari. Don't know yet. Still debating with myself. The person I sold it to 10 days ago has called me 3 times telling me how unbelievably easy it is to drive. Just point and go. If you have never owned a Ferrari the 430 is probably the best first Ferrari I would recommend to anyone hands down.

Suprised you were able to break the tires loose so easily, were you in race mode and flooring it?

Nope, they weren't bald. Although it was a little cold the day I test drove it, so the tire compound was probably a little hard.

I was just going straight.

If I'm going Porsche, I'm going turbo and awd.

If you look back to my original posts, you'll see that I'm waiting a couple of years to actually make the purchase.
