Take to the High Seas and Beyond in a Bentley Superyacht
Dynamiq Global 330 Explorer comes with interior by Bentley Home, and it can be tours for around $14 million.
Bentley is synonymous with luxury and the good things in life. For the office, there’s a Mulsanne to ferry you to and fro those important meetings. For the track, a Continental GT V8 to thunder around the corners. And for the great outdoors, the Bentayga brings new meaning to glamping.
Suppose you wanted to bring the Bentley life to the sea, though? Until recently, there weren’t too many options available, but according to Daily Mail, a collaboration between Bentley Home and Monaco boat builder Dynamiq means you can have a touch of Bentley no matter where you go in the world.
“Instead of slow, steel-hulled explorers with the typical commercial styling, we drew on our forward-thinking approach to create a fast and modern series of vessels,” said said Dynamiq CEO and founder Sergei Dobroserdov. “Dynamiq is a rare shipyard that proposes high-end Dutch engineering with the highest quality construction in relatively small yachts at an affordable price.”
The $14.3 million Dynamiq Global 330 Explorer is definitely not your everyday yacht. The 108-foot superyacht is capable of exploring any corner of the globe thanks to its small size. Thus, you can head over to Monaco for the Grand Prix of Monaco, then wander on down to Antarctica with the power of two V8 engines capable of a top speed of around 18 mph.
“Following up on client requests, we have been looking at the explorer market for quite a while and this year we decided to come into the game with something completely different for our more adventurous owners,” said Dobroserdov.
The inside of the Global 330 Explorer was decorated by Bentley Home, itself a collaboration between Bentley and furniture design house Club House Italia. Thus, there are diamond-quilted chairs, wood trim and major furniture items polished to a gleam, and bed pillows with the Bentley winged logo stitched into the fabric. It’s definitely the lap of luxury.
“We specifically designed the Global series to be below the 40m threshold to match a much broader type of client and their families,” said Dobroserdov. “Moreover, thanks to their compact size they can truly explore, because only Dynamiq explorers are able to enter the small bays and inlets where bigger yachts can’t get near.”
Bentley isn’t the only one to enter the marina with a luxury yacht. According to our friends at Club Lexus, Lexus unveiled renderings of its LY 650 yacht last year.
Powered by a pair of 5.0-liter V8s producing a combined 885 horses and a top speed of 49 mph, the LY 650 has three staterooms, a lounge area, and an ultra high-end sound system, plus plenty of Lexus-style luxury. The new yacht will make its public debut in late 2019, with the first real-life model leaving the shipyard of Wisconsin-based builder Marquis-Larson Boat Group in the coming months. We can only wonder what other luxury automakers will soon want to go for a smooth sail on the high seas.
