Stunt driving experiences

U.K.’s Track Days sees a 650% increase in bookings for its stunt driving experiences over the past year.

Stunt driving experiences, where handbrake turns and spinning donuts take center stage, are actually helping an increasing number of Brits to become more skillful drivers.

So advises leading driving experience provider Track Days, which has seen a huge increase in interest for its stunt driving courses. Indeed, over the last year alone it has made more stunt packages available. This has resulted in a huge 650 percent year-on-year increase in bookings. No doubt many go on a stunt driving experience purely for thrills and excitement. But the reality is that at the same time they are improving their driving skills. Skills which help both on and off the track.

“Going on a stunt driving experience is great fun as squealing tires and clouds of smoke fill the air,” says Imran Malek, operations manager at Track Days. “Just as importantly, it also provides drivers with the opportunity to hone their car handling skills by pulling off some technically difficult driving maneuvers. Of course, moves such as handbrake parallel parking are purely for the track, but our courses are aimed at vastly improving overall car handling abilities.â€

Track Days offers stunt driving experiences at venues across the U.K. Other experience highlights include timed slaloms, skids and slides, plus two-wheel passenger rides.

“Stunt driving experiences are exploding in popularity and we’ve added more packages to keep up with a huge increase in demand,” adds Malek. “From Cornwall to Middlesbrough, an ever-increasing number of Brits are learning handbrake turns and rolling donuts, plus much more, all in a safe environment under the guidance of an instructor.â€
