Don t sweat it. Tag is making better watches now than in years previous. My first watch was a Tag 4000 which I bough in the early 90s. My dad still wears it to this day.
Just think of adding to the collection in the future Got to start somewhere!!

 

I've had mine three years and it's my daily. Not one problem. In fact it's not even scratched.

my cousin has a red dial/black bezel F1 and imo it's a GREAT watch for any young guy with an interest in horology

For what it's worth I was given my Breitling Colt Ocean Automatic 11+ years ago and I wear it daily with no problems whatsoever. My TAG Aquaracer worked well for about 3 years before needing to be sent back to TAG for it losing 30+ minutes a day.

Odds are my next watch is going to be an Omega or something higher on the food chain - none of Breitling's current stuff looks great - go with the Speedmaster/Seamaster is my advice.

 

Love my Breitling. No issues whatsoever since i bought it 4 years ago.
