Lum-tec looks like everyone else's watch, IWC as well...
Almost copying the look is a great form of flattery I guess....
I suppose there's nothing really wrong with that in the watch business.

Lum Tec's stuff looks nice. FWIW I got a daily wear watch in the same price range and went with citizen. Great looks, solar powered. On another similar thread someone mentioned the seiko divers which are also a great lower cost watch.

Thanks for the great responses so far guys!
I have checked out Lum-Tec earlier, and I have to admit they are not really my cup of tea. I would prefer something similar to the design of the IWC below (which is why I like the style of the CK), however for a price of maximum $800:
Or this:
I have decided not to go for the Calvin Klein thanks to you guys, even though I really like the style, it feels stupid to pay $500 for a $100 watch. Well, we'll see what I stumble upon. I might go for a Steinhart or something similar.

may want to consider this forum:
'Poor Man's' Watch Forums | THE BIGGEST forum for affordable watches | Watchmaking | Watch Photography | Watch Reviews and plenty more about Watches
I've browsed a few of the dealers that advertise there. Some aren't exactly cheap, but there are smaller houses which make tribute models. Good luck.
