Advice on new watch

Hello there Teamspeeders!

I'm a 17 year old high-school student, looking to get my first "real" watch. I have a budget of maximum $850.
What would you guys recommend?

Right now I am really close to picking up this new Calvin Klein model for around $500.

Apparently it is Swiss Made by Swatch, I'm not sure of the quality, but I tried it a couple of weeks ago and it felt really nice. I really like it, the clean styling suits me perfectly. Would you guys consider the CK a good choice, or am I better off with something else?

I have already checked Steinhart, Seiko, Fossil, Tissot and so on, but the CK is still my favorite.

Thanks in advance!

Why buy a watch made by Swatch for $500, when you can get the best Swatch for $100-130

Look at Hamilton and Citizen in addition to the others mentioned. Get a watch from a watch manufacturer, don't pay for that kind of money for a clothing manufacturer's re-branded watch.

Perhaps a seiko skx007 or a citizen Nighthawk. Two of my favorite entry level watches that can hang with the best of them.

Many of the clothing manufacturers go through Fossil, fyi.
