Buying a used AP ROO Rubberclad

I'm thinking about buying a used Audemars piguet royal oak offshore rubberclad 25940 with the black face for about $10.500. The watch is sold privately and it's from 2003 but has been sitting in a safe for most of its life. What do you guys think of buying a watch from 2003 and one that has been "still" inside a safe? Do you think it's a bad idea?

Thanks!

I'm no expert on this, but it doesn't seem like a bad idea to me. Seems like a pretty good price and at the worst it's going to need a service.

do auto watches need service if it's unworn?

is it better to wear the watch or have it running using a winder if you don't wear it for months/years?

If that is the actual watch there definitely is "some" wear on it. Not what I would call a 99% watch not even a 90% by TZ standards.

I think it costs a lot for a used one, you can get a brand new one and haggle a price a bit for 15,700 in GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) Kuwait, UAE, Qatar etc.

I think 10,500 is a lot of money for this used watch plus freight to Sweden, Watch Insurance and Tax for Import duties. If it was a RG I would of really recommended you to get one.
