Thinking About Getting A Submariner, Need Some Advice
I am thinking about getting a Rolex Submariner but have a few questions first.
I do not mind the 40mm submariner but if there isn't too much of a difference in price I would go for the newer 42mm version(EDIT: The newer versions are still 40mm).
Is there any particular model I should be on the lookout for? I really like the 50th anniversary editions.
If not the anniversary model I am looking for a black face with black dial and stainless steel.
What are some price ranges that I am looking at for the following?
1) 50th Anniversary Submariner
2) Newer 42mm Submariner
EDIT: The newer versions are still 40mm
3) Older 40mm Submariner
Thanks a lot in advance guys.

I thought about the Sea Sweller and I like having the cyclops on the crystal. I am a diver so I would appreciate the Sea Dwellers abilities; however, I have decided to go with the Submariner.

Have they not updated the website to reflect the 42mm size? This is the first I have heard of this - everything on there reflects a 40mm case. The bezel was updated to ceramic, but I don't think there was a change in case size.
OFFICIAL ROLEX WEBSITE - HOMEPAGE
edit: no indication of a change in size here either https://teamspeed.com/forums/watch-f...iable-yet.html

What are you looking to get out of the watch? Like, to serve a purpose? Is it going to be a daily?
IMO, while the Submariner and Rolex's are watches that hold their value better than other watches - they're SO boring. Everytime I see one I think of your typically Wall Street wannabe. I've never seen a Rolex and been like " woooooaaaah... nice watch!! ", but maybe because that's because every Joe Shmo has one.

I am just looking for an attractive watch that is durable. I will wear it casually with everything from a button down to a T-Shirt. I have an Omega Seamaster 300M Chrono and a PAM104 that are currently filling those roles. I am just looking for something else and have always loved he look of the submariner.
