what are everyone's thoughts on the pam 88 vs pam 89... have been considering the 88 for quite some time and now the 89 has become to grow on me as well...

personally only pam i ever went and actually asked about/researched thoroughly was the 88 some years ago. dial can sport the rubber and almost any strap perfectly imho

89 > 88. IMHO the silver dial cheapens the look. Although, the PAM Luminor shape is so timeless, I hate to see it made to look so "busy" with all those markings. IMHO, a classic, simple, sandwich dial is the way to go with a Luminor.

I like BOTH the 88 and 89. If I ever got a polished Panerai, I would likely get the 88. I also love the Grey Ghost 237, as it is such a rare piece, but it isn't worth the $$ IMHO.
