Your next watch

He seemed like the person who would know, yes! I'm not in any rush though but that's what it's going to be looking like, but we'll see. I still want to look at other watches as well, as the Speedmaster 3570.50 still tickles my fancy a bit. I haven't even found the time to go out and try them on! Things to consider...

Unfortunately the price of the pilot chronograph (IWC3717-01) is difficult because I usually don't pay much attention to the watch markets, and because IWC threw a huge wrench in the mix. I got mine from an authorized dealer in march 2011 when msrp was ~$4300. Over the course of the year, prices went up to their most recent on the 3717 being $5100. Additionally, a new model came out as of now (haven't looked up that msrp yet but I believe I remember people saying it will start with $6k). I know you can get brand new in box 3717s asking mid $4k's, so mid/low $3k on a used one depending on condition and whether buying from jeweler or private party.

Not my next (would be if I had more monies) but probably the nicest reverso dial I have seen.

Slacker, you'll be fine getting a Planet Ocean with no warranty for that price. Omegas don't typically need repairs, and they are regularly available for $2500 or less.
My next watch will be another Deep Sea, likely followed by a 44mm Speedmaster or an IWC Top Gun or Ingenieur.

I gotta try on the 42mm PO to compare to the 45mm.
