Me 2...That is one of the brands I would never buy including the likes of Hublot, roger dubouis, Romain Jerome, U-boat etc.

 

Nevers: U-Boat, Perrelet, Gucci, Hublot, Roger Dubois, Invicta, and quite a few others.

Somedays: one AP (a Rose Gold Skeleton or the Diver), maybe a DMH Jump Hours (if I can get him to make one that is >40mm)

Soon (within the next 18 months): Another Rolex Deep Sea (I should have never gotten rid of it), PAMs- 372, 24 or 25, or a 233, Seiko TunaCan SBBN011 or 015 (to replace the one I sold last year)

 

Why? Is there some sort of stigma attached to the brand that I'm missing here?

 

Ive been offered to trade my Speedmaster for a 2503.33...Decisions.

@Samuel G: They are overpriced and have absolutely no resale value. Search for them on Watchrecon and get one cheap if you need to have one.

I didn't look up the price of the piece I posted, I just thought it was a good looking watch. Honestly, I never grasped the concept of buying a watch with resale in mind. To me it equates to admitting to yourself from the start that you'll eventually get bored of the watch and that you're just buying it in a spur of the moment. The whole fun of shopping for a watch is finding the one piece that you know will stand the test of time and that you'll never want to get rid of. Of course everyone has their reasons when buying a watch, watches mean different things to everyone. You never "need" an expensive timepiece really, and I always laugh a bit when people say this or this brand is "overpriced", they're all overpriced, it's just a matter of how much.

 

Yeah. I will get another one, sooner than later. I loved it, but had always wanted a Daytona. Well, I got that out of the way, so now I will see about getting back into a Deep Sea.
