as for Oris, i never had one nor tried one, but to me they define what a COOOOL watch is.
the first thing i think of when i read/hear of Oris is sportiness

did you buy a watch for your wedding yet bro?
the tissot i saw yesterday was a limited edition (moto Gp) black with a touch of yellow ( the Box is designed as A helmet which i thought was awesome) i have a tissot it's a Hockey LE

as for the Oris it was a RUF CTR3 edition

No still looking, have seen alot of nice watches lately
Hublot,Oris,Mont Blanc and many others

but the watch that caught my eye was Glashute (sp?) asking price was 4400KD (15700$) after discount 3080KD (11000$)

I recently tried on the Oris RUF edition. Its a nice piece and has a Swiss ETA 7750 movement which is a nice, robust, high quality movement. I have a LumTec Combat F1 with that movement and the second hand sweeps very soothly and the stopwatch works great.

pics please of watch in question?
for 3k i would definitely go with a Rolex Daytona as a wedding watch but that's just me

i think i saw the name somewhere online, but totally unfamiliar with the company.
that said, for $375, that watch is definitely in the Tissot range - not sure about Oris - and i would definitely say it gives it a run for its money!!
the rubber strap is awesome for practicality, as is the date.
only downside is that it cannot really be used as a gym watch like the T-touch extreme (or a G shock)
the blue accents are different and in a great way. definite two thumbs up!

but its price is really really good imho!
are you considering?

thanks this watch is becoming cooler by the min, sounds too good to be true! am definitely considering this atm but only thing that's putting me off (for some strange reason :P) is that the lume is green and the fact that the distributor in the UK can't point me to where I could buy one here

if all else fails I've found a store on amazon selling it but I can't be arsed waiting for a new watch - rather go and pick one up

thanks

oh come on mate when i lived in Newcastle i experience the TRUE meaning of e-commerce, having had packages delivered to my apartment twice a week for the most part buying lots of stuff .. i wish we had better customs in Kuwait, they make it kind of impossible to excuse the wait/price of getting anything online
but i do know the feeling i think you're referring to when you actually BUY something and have the joy of carrying it home

hmm, a green lume is pretty common i would imagine so i would not hold it against the watch

good luck!

I too love buying stuff online, problem is I'm always out and I hate going to the depot afterwards to collect stuff lol; local delivery depot staff know me on a first name basis now haha!

Will check the seller reviews on amazon and if I don't hear anything in the next few days then I suppose online is the (only) way to go!

thanks again - looks like I'm convinced now :P
