I would get good documentation/references. There are a few threads on watchuseek IWC section where there are a lot of fake IWCs going around. If you aren't sure they have some knowledgeable people who can pick out the fonts, etc. Plus I can always compare to mine if you post some photos.

 

Ya did read a lot about that... He has tons of known references so that helps.

Mark, I agree with you on the strap but it's actually to age if you know what I mean... it is too clean now but with some wrist time it will look vintage...

997C (sorry I don't remember your name, getting old I guess) in person the piece looks mmmmmm not great, but very good. What's helping it is the price I am getting

For now it's going to a friend of mine and I will wait to see if the dealer can get another... that when I will have to see if it's a bridge worth crossing
