I like the 5131g and its a very difficult piece to get at "retail"
What is really cool about it is not only the amazing movement but the artwork on the dial...

Patek 3712/1A...but not for a long time. My ROO tuckered me out for a bit.

My next watch will be a Patek or an AP, but not for some time. It will also be my last luxury watch purchase.

One and only last watch purchase. I've got a tear in my eye.

What do you guys think about the size of watches under 40mm? I've not worn anything under 42mm I believe for 3 years. I held off on my PP because they are all basically 38mm or smaller and I don't like the feel.

I have a Cartier Santos in 38mm and it has become my favorite watch. It is absolutely timeless and looks good with anything from jeans and a cashmere sweater to a suit. It is very comfortable and something I will own forever.

I have said it many times, but the 45mm+ look will be out of style sooner than later. I am shying away from the bigger watches, as I am pretty confident they will be "what the heck were we thinking" fashion pieces 10 years from now. There is a reason PP doesnt make a 48mm watch.

I can post an on-wrist shot when I get home later this evening if you'd like.

Yeah, I will have the Deep Sea once I get home, and that watch alone will serve me well in everything I do. I may pick up a Rolex Sub head and just wear it on a nato or zulu strap, but the AP is probably the route I will go. We will see. I just love watches too much, and I don't have the income to buy how I would like to.

And stay away from watches under 40 mm bro. Everyone I have ever bought just ends up getting sold or traded. 40-44mm will serve you well, as that size will be timeless. Of course, all of this is just my $0.02.

No matter your income you never have the income to buy how you would like to. That's why watches shouldn't be a hobby

Well, my watches weren't really a hobby, more like an obsession. I was fielding offers to attend some Swiss watch academies. That is how much I love watches Mark. I have to dial myself back or it could get out of hand.

I did myself years ago. This forum has been horrid for me. I honestly went years without even looking at a watch. I love em but can go without. Well without buying anyway.
