San Antonio, TX

TS,

Planning a 3 night getaway to San Antiono Texas for the 27th - 30th of this month. I wanted to go somewhere that is off the radar - relaxing - and sort of anti "baller" if you will. Tired of always trying to be in the mix or "going where the celebs" go type of places haahahahaha.

San Antiono's Riverwalk area seems really cool and relaxing while still providing lots of places to eat and drink all within a short walk from one another.

So my question is to those that live there or have been there. Where should i stay (or avoid) and what are some cool places to eat and hang out.

Thanks a lot!!!

Jon

Go to the river walk. great places to eat and drink. The river is a bit dirty this time of year, but its great, lots of shopping and cool bars. The Hollywood Park area of SA is nice too, its a little north by the 1604 freeway.

Landry's is a good place to eat, Mad Dogs, Coyote Ugly are some decent bars in the area.

I love that city. You must go to the riverwalk and the bar where Teddy Rosevelt formed the Ruff Riders. The name slips me.

Thanks for the replies....any hotels come to mind? Riverwalk is def where we would like to stay and spend most of our time. Would 3 days be too much here? Anything else to see and do within the area? Thanks again.

Oh and C Money - we will be back in the Philly area for NYE....what are you up to?
