Got hooked up for a birthday dinner last night; pretty flash.


duck parfait and fresh sourdough


beef soup starter


scallops w/ pea and ham broth


smoked occy with hazelnut pesto and truffle bread


45degree salmon with king prawns and squid ink sauce


marron ravioli with burnt sage butter - ridiculous.


grapefruit and verjuice sorbet to cleanse the pallet


beef fillet with beef cheek and feta tart


served with rocket and beetroot salad

On to dessert, was shown through to a special room with a giant open fire;


18 year Glenlivet Single Malt


chocolate taste plate; mousse, mudcake and caramel centre couture dark


orange rosemary parfait with strawberry and orange confit and sable biscuits

This plus Webber winning made for a cracker birthday today.

Hi,

Thanks guys, it has truly been an awesome day. Got taken out to my favourite boutique brewery for a lunch meal coupled with a few pints, then stopped by a chocolate factory for some sweets, now we're off to the jacuzzi, just me and the girl - I love birthdays!
