I have a invite to stay at Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley anyone ever stayed here? Would you stay there again?

Also Chef Cal Stamenov of Marinus Restaurant at the lodge is supposed to be really good so looking for feed back input.

Bernardus Lodge - Carmel Valley, California

Thanks

Here's what Chuck had to say when I asked him about it

i haven't been but my favorite chef in the US says it's top-notch. and he, more than anyone, knows what i like.

i plan to go in 2 weeks or so...
Living in the area, I honestly haven't heard much about Bernardus (good or bad)...

If you have an invite to go, by all means go. Like Russ said, living in the vicinity I never really hear anything about the place, good or bad.

I got and email from Chuck and his review of the restaurant was that it should be in the top 4-5 of Bay Area restaurants to visit! So with that recommendation I going, I tried getting on Clint Eastwoods private golf course but my access buddy is in LV that week. Carmel Valley is always nice Quail Lodge and of course Poppy Hills is always great. Should be able to keep my self busy thanks for the feedback.
