Heading to San Fran In September and need some help/advice on where to stay... I love price-line and offering "my price", but I just get nervous in big cities like SF and NY because some hotels have rooms the size of closets, and I don't want to end up with that...

Thinking of either Union Square or the Warf (close to water)..

Anyone know of any awesome deals on great hotels... Was going to book the Clift, but rates have gone up $75 a night since the time I first looked, so now I just cant stomach paying more (i know LAME)..
