Going to Ft. Lauderdale

Heading to ft. lauderdale soon. While there im just looking for a few things to view or experience while not on the beach. Such things as boats, marinas, ocean side bars and restaurants. I will be north of Harbor Bay about 2 miles. Any ideas would be great!! Im working with about a "g" so take that in mind!

walk to the top of the 17th street bridge and stand there, both sides.

go to the top of pier 66 and enjoy the view.

the beach at night is an experience.

primantes pizza on the north end of the beach is open 24hrs.

downtown has a good nightlife.

las olas street is good for walking around during the day.

its the yachting capital of the world...

where is harbor bay?

Definitely go to dinner at: Chima, Cafe Martorano, Runway 84, and BOVA.

Other fantastic restaurants near the beach/downtown: Canyon, Casa D'Angelo, Teal on Las Olas. All of the greater FTL area is essentially yacht-land, and you can grab a fantastic view of the port and all the intracoastal canals from the 17th street bridge as Patrick stated. From the beach you can take a tour of the canals on the "Jungle Queen". You will see some eye-popping yachts and homes on the canals. Harborage, Las Olas Isles, Rio Vista, etc. are must-sees from the water!
