Home Made Jambalaya = WIN
So after not being able to find a good place in LA to get Jambalaya, the mrs decided to cook it for me.
The mrs used the Emeril's receipe and improvised a little.
The base is made of:
Organic Chicken Stock
One whole Organic Green Pepper
Organic Tomato
Organic Garlic
Organic Onion
Organic Cajun Seasoning from Whole Foods (you can make it from scratch, but that's like another half an hour of slicing and dicing, so we cheated a little)
Dried Bay Leaves (no garden like BigE, unfortunately)
Louisiana Hot Sauce (all natural with no weird chemical preservative)
The Seafood:
Jumbo Wild Alaskan Shrimp
Wild Akaskan King Salmon
Live Clam from 99 Ranch
The Meat:
Spicy Italian Chicken Sausage from Whole Foods
Finally, season it with Sea Salt and Fresh Ground Pepper

Follow the recipe, which traditonally has shrimp, sausage, but decided to add some fish and clam. Pictures didn't turn out too well because of lighting, but the recipe calls for cooking the rice in the broth which eventually cooked all the way down.
