By the way - have any of you NYC guys been to Masa? I'm West Coast and haven't tried it out yet, but it's supposed to be crazy good (if also crazy expensive)...

yes, i think it's the best sushi in this country. it would compete with some of the best i had in Japan - i'd give it a 9/10 score. the problem is that meals can be quite short - 90 minutes, $500/person, and you're done.

Urasawa in LA was his student and for $75 less per person, it's nearly as good. the experience is *much* better as it lasts for 3-4 hours.
