MICHELIN vs BRIDGESTONE
#6
Damon, what about the
UTQG: Treadwear: 280
Traction: AA
Temperature: A
280 AA A
Does that hold any value? This above is for the Hancock Ventus from your website and has the highest treadware, temperature and traction rating amongst all the tires recommended for 911s.
Thanks,
Dominic

I've had all three Porsche OEM tires (Pirelli, Michelin, and Bridgestones). The Pirellis are the best in the dry without question. The Michelins seemed like the sidewall wasn't as stiff as the Pirelli. The Bridgestones have been very good so far, but they seem to be wearing fast. I am likely to go with the Pirellis when it's time to get new ones...

In general I like Bridgestone's by far but they do wear fast. Michelin's are rock solid on reliability and quality. I'd have to say Porsche puts what is best on the car and if you just stick with that, you won't go wrong.
My Conti's are quite nice at much less $ too.

I LOVE my PS2's. I also LOVE my RE050A's. But if I could've gotten the PS2's in a size I was happy with for my GT, that's what I would have done. I've got both PS2's and MPSC's for my 911TT, and they are, without question, the best tires you can buy. For the GT I've got Hoosiers and the Bridgestones (Scud Rears and GT2 Fronts - they come in the right sizes). If I went to PS2's on the GT (Carrera GT sizes), they'd end up being a full inch or more of LESS rolling diameter.
Really, both terrific tires, but if I had the right size options so I could choose either for any car, and if I was choosing, I'd go with the PS2's. Just my $0.02

for Bridgestone, the new RE11's are much better performing than the RE050s.
They both are great tires for sure.
I do not know how much price difference there are, but i think you won't go wrong with either.
