Tesla reveals its new electric cross-over styled SUV with seating for seven
With only one actual physical product sold (the roadster) Tesla has launched another new model. This one is a small SUV called the Model X. Seats 7 (although like the model S the rear seats are probably only a reality for small children), 0-60 in 4.4 and 200+ mile range. The crossover styled EV will come in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive versions, the latter with separate, independent motors for each axle.
The all-aluminum electric wagon shares roughly 60 percent of its parts with the company's Model S sedan. The new cross-over took center stage at Tesla's Los Angeles-area R&D center which is next door to company co-founder and CEO Elon Musk's private company SpaceX. Musk said Tesla would start taking reservations for the Model X on its Web site at noon today
I know there is a lot of negative sentiment here on TS towards electrics (countdown to Simba posting here?) and whether they'll be profitable, necessary, will anyone buy them and so on. Regardless, here it is:

I like it, but then again I like many concept cars, I'm a bit surprised to see that people like this though because most of the members on this forum seem to not like wild concepts. Maybe suicide doors would look better. Just like on the Spyker D8.
