I was at my gun club and this happened...
So, I was at my range (Sandy Springs Shooting Range - Atlanta, Georgia GA) and just kinda getting in some practice because I want to shoot 3 gun again. And one of the guys that works there told me that I just HAD to shoot his new AR15. Who am I to say no when a guy is standing there with a gorgeous looking AR, handing me ammo...
I took the optic off, because I wanted to see how well it worked with the BUIS.
I pushed the target out to 30 yards; and this happened:
That is 20 rounds of 55gr... The one down low was the first shot. Not too shabby for a rifle I've never touched before.
Then this happened...
I've never fired an AR that was so confidence inspiring. The recoil, what little that was felt; came straight back and was barely felt. Which probably has something to do with the billet construction of the upper receiver.
For the geeks... It has a 1/7 Walter Lothar hammer forged barrel. This thing will drive tacks.
I fired about a hundred rounds through the guys AR with the optic on it, and paper stood no chance. The group you see above, looks spread out compared to what I did with the optic. And it wasn't even magnified.
Now I need to decide on an optic for this one. I'm thinking on one of the Leupolds or Nikons that are made for the AR platform. I have no interest in paying Nightforce the insane amount that they're after for a 1x4.

Wow. Never heard of those guys, but that isn't surprising considering the glut of AR-platform makers out there.
That is a seriously nice rifle. Let us know how it does down the line (Cause it sounds like you're gonna be frequently running it hard).
