Yea very True Andy... Didnt mention that because I figured he would be buying it in Ca. and not building his own - thus it MUST come with a BB installed.

Bought one for my wife. She loves it. She goes back and forth between mine and hers.

I would say get one for sure, she will have a blast. My wife had a great time keeping tin cans hopping at the range while I was whacking away on my .223

Bullet buttoned AR's look like AR's, but you CANNOT use any mags with more than 10 rounds in it. And to detach the mag takes some practice to do it fast.

Monster man grip is ugly, but it allows you to use any mag you please. So if you have some pre ban mags or happened upon some 30 rounders in the trash, yours to use.

Theoretically you can transport AR's and any long guns in your car unloaded, but be prepared to be harassed, especially if it's a bullet buttoned one which looks like an "assualt weapon" to many untrained cops.
God those MM grips are ugly as shit. The BB isnt that bad, especially if you equip your mags with the pin. I did all of mine, and its a pretty quick mag change, using your next mag.

Yea, the 10 round is a HUGE pain, but... if you have "rebuild kits" then....

As for transport, lock that in your trunk. Avoid any incidents by not having it on the back seat.......

whoever you are, that was me.

first gun or not, i still consider it a waste of money to buy something, only wishing you had a more capable gun... why not start with a larger caliber? i buy to shoot, loud bang, and to be able to do what i need to do when i need to do it. surely you can understand that. instead of a 308, im now looking at a 6mm, but wouldnt suggest it. 308 ammo isnt any more than anything else...

i am not sure what wont be worth what at what age, but i am giving real personal experience here and hope it helps.

fwiw, my sister learned to shoot with a 30-06.

^308 ammo is considerably more than 223/556. The rest of your points aren't valid.

FWIW the first handgun I shot consistently was a .44 mag while my best friends dad was in Iraq. Does that mean I should suggest that to someone as their first handgun? Fvck no.

Whatever gun I get I would like a detachable clip. The M16 I shot you had to literally take half the gun off and insert the rounds in. It was souch a PITA I stopped shooting it.

I might have a few 30 round mags lying around....

I did shoot a Romanian AK and I did enjoy it, but after 90 rounds my shoulder was aching like no tomorrow. Might have been because I wasn't used to it. Regardless when I do get a rifle it would definitely be an AR15 of some sort.

Anyone have any pics of a MM grip? And a bullet button AR?

Honestly I have no experience with either since I live in SC. I think Stuka, Curve, and Fuel will be your best help on that...

This might help too..
