Need a Good Carry Pistol

So would everyone's theory of caliber hold water if in a limited magazine state? I cant carry anything over 10 rounds so? Much of the arguments have been capacity vs caliber.
In Commiefornia, 10 is all you get. Hence my thought might as well carry the biggest ten I can comfortably shoot and carry correct?

^The 1911 seems like a great match for California residents.
I'm not sure I understand the hammer visibility concern. You're going to be treating all guns as loaded anyway.
My advice to you is to rent the guns and find the one that works for you. And remember that your safety is protected by using your brain, not what's on your hip.
Do you have your handgun carry permit yet?

And to the OP, there's nothing wrong with the USP Compact. Jack Bauer kicked terrorist ass for six seasons with it.
I personally like it along with the SIG 226. Mini-Striker's arrival in Oct. has delayed gun purchases for a while tho.
