It seems to be a cultural issue. Not a white black cultural issue, but rather one more of the "ghetto" or "hip hop" culture, for lack of a better word. Call it whatever, but it is a segment of our society that shuns intelligence, and actively bettering ones self through education and personal achievement, in favor of one that that favors an "I gots to gets minez", and whatever feels good right now.
And @ PArealtor, yes, it will enforce my opinion that a large portion of our population really is made up of a lot of oxygen thieves. I don't care what color they are.
It is quite a statement when an old woman is the only one that stood up and tried to do something.

WTF is up with ghetto (black and white) people fighting in McDonalds lately?!
I swear I see this garbage weekly. Not only is the animalistic behavior appauling, but the reflex to seeing someone in their gravest moment is "Oh snap ima get dis on youtube"; instead of using that very phone to call life-saving help. Also, there is zero intiative to hold the attackers. Rather, they are often encouraged to flea before the cops get there. Also, the verbal responses are pretty eye-opening. No one seems to be discouraging or exclaiming that it is wrong. They are laughing, cheering, and fighting for the best camera angle.
We need to start holding people like this accountable. These are all adults and members of our collective society. I am sick of giving a free pass to people. By this I mean showing respect for others, even would-be attackers, and holding them to the same standards we do for ourselves.

If that happened in front of me, those two girls, at minimum would be KTFO'd with enough violence of action to end it definitively. If it escalated to the point of people coming to the aid of the attackers, my level of force would escalate accordingly, always one level higher than whatever was coming at me; and for maximum effect.
It saddens me to know that there are entire segments within a radius of where I live, where this happens on a regular basis; as if it was sport.

The ironic thing is the lack of attention to black on black violence does not do anyone any good.
As you mentioned, it is absolutely hip hop culture. Having spent a large part of my life in a run down, rough ass area, I can verify that - and yes, it is possible to not be dark skinned and experience this sort of thing. I know some of the people who read this will take issue with it and I am happy to hear your opinions otherwise... Of course, hopefully they'll be backed by actual experience, not ideals.
The shit that goes on in inner city areas across the country is disgusting. The notion of "hood justice" is absolutely real and this "snitches get stitches" bullshit is something people live by: white, black, hispanic, whatever. It carries over into all other aspects of their lives as well, in a disgusting manner. I could go on for days but I'll stfu for the time being
because people have rejected sociability and normal social interaction. now their online lives are more important than reality. everyday life is just a source of material to boost their online cred. People have been raised by the media; babysat by the TV, lost mental innocence to the internet, gotten laid through online dating, and sit behind awesome looking avatars while flaming at others without retribution...
