.22LR was also the caliber of choice for Russian assasins too.

very easy to make almost silent, 100yd range, you can carry a lot, available in semi auto and enough power to kill with a correctly placed shot.

Its a great pocket gun. That said, just sold it and went the dreaded glock route...they are just too reliable and I just like having 11 9mm bullets rather than 7 380 acps.

Doc good pickup I had one for about a month its the only pocket gun that feels like a real gun and it shoots excellent. I had the S&W Bodyguard "set" with the 380 and the 38, sold that in a week. Right now I am rocking a Kahr PM45 for carry slim and comfy.

Caliber is not a factor at close range

Nice choice Doc. Damn fine choice in fact.

+1

Hope you had a good holiday season Brian..

Gotta disagree here. Caliber (well, muzzle energy) is a factor at any range. It's just that shot placement is a more important factor.

Hey Marc,
I've got the PM9. Nice guns. I just occasionally need something real small

Being prepared to protect oneself or one's family isn't about paranoia. It's about facing reality. Those who think and plan ahead are more likely to survive whatever dangerous situation that might come their way. Carrying a gun is no different than wearing a seatbelt, planning a fire escape route or wearing a life jacket in rough seas..........a prudent man does it just in case. A fool is caught unprepared.
