Mouse gun for 1911 lovers

I needed a pocket gun for those times I couldn't carry one of my beloved 1911s. The Sig P238 fits the bill.
While I was picking up the two tone rosewood grip version my wife noticed the "Titanium Rainbow" version

She loved it and being a 1911 fan.......had to have it. How romantic.........matching mouse guns

A few years ago I would never have considered carrying a .380 but with the new self defense ammo like Hornady's Critical Defense the .380 is an option when the .45 just won't fit.

I'm carrying a 239 for winter months and need a sub for summer but just can't sell myself on a 380 as a good showstopper.

There's an old gunfighter adage:

"Any gun is better than no gun."

Kidding aside, some of the wiz-bang ammo makes a .380 something less than a joke these days. Don't know that I could take one over a Glock 29/30 though, for that particular role.

I'm a subscriber to the cult of .45 ACP, but I'd take a .22LR over my pecker in my hand should the situation call for it. Many "tough" guys tend to rethink things at the moment a weapon appears in the hands of their "victim".

I figure it's got to be better than a sharp stick and definitely better than no gun at all.

Shot placement and good ammo make mockery of the ammo zealots.

I get a kick out of people who say that a .22 can do this, or a 9mm can't do that; then I see some of those people on the range, and I understand...

Nice choice Doc. Damn fine choice in fact.

I've been looking at these too recently but the price makes my teeth itch.

The S&W Bodyguard .380 looks interesting too, but again at a ridiculous price point.

I will still have my Glock 30 (.45) until I find something small and well priced that isnt total shit.

22 is very lethal - little piece of trivia but the 22 was the caliber of choice for the mobs at one time. Enough to penetrate the melon w/out making a huge mess.

As for the "mouse-gun", that's one pretty piece! Well done...

Yep. All you have to to is get just one in the head and that .22 will bounce around and turn the brain into mush but keep it inside the skull.
