We are big duck hunters.
We own land and a lodge two hours from our house, on the Languille River in NorthEast Arkansas. I think our flyway is one of the best in the world for Mallard hunting, if not the best. My boys and I love it.
We have a 15-20 person blind with kitchen, heated area, crow's nest, etc. in flooded timber, along with a lot of other options and land for hunting in the area. I will hunt 20-30 days of the 60-day season in December and January. Nothing better. I'll post some pictures in here during the season.

Russ,
Sounds like an incredible setup. My dad and I decided to not renew our duck club membership this year. The area has been dead for the last few seasons. I'd love to get down to your area and hunt Mallards in flooded timber, maybe do a father/son trip next season. I've read much about it, but never participated (around here, it's mostly flooded agriculture fields with blinds and some jump shooting streams).
Do you do much upland hunting?

You are a mighty lucky guy! That sounds fantastic. I hear about Ark all the time, and all the flooded timber hunting. Much envy here!

I've been bird hunting since I was nine. Wingshooting is one of my greatest passions. I'll be shooting my Beretta AL390 mostly this year. Although a little heavy by today's standards, it's a wonderfully built shotgun, and terrific to operate and shoot. I prefer it to my previous Benelli.
Ive been shooting my Benelli for a decade or so, so I figured why not, a new shotgun for a new season!
