^ I'd be interested to hear your impressions after you slay some greenheads!
The Benelli SBE is a terrific gun, which my father has shot since its inception. I had a Super 90 for years (12ga, 26" and synthetic).

Mine is fantastic and sure dont have a single complaint. Almost bought a new one, but went with the Maxus. Maxus was lighter, easier to tear down and 1/3 less than the SBE.

I'm a serious wing shooter and have been duck hunting for nearly my entire life. Shot ducks in Argentina about five ears ago, but I primarily stick around the Gulf Coast region.
Since before I was born, my father has been a member at a club outside Rockport, TX (my membership will be active next year). At the club, we've got various blinds around the bay that range anywhere from a 20 minutes boat ride to an hour. There's nothing like that feeling of firing up the airboat at 5am to head across the bay in the darkness. I do a lot of my duck hunting down there and its where my 20ft airboat is currently stored. While many of the member use blinds, I prefer to hunt the grass as I feel its easier to bring in ducks and provides better camo. In general we see a fair amount of pintails, scaup, red heads, wigeons, and teal. Unfortunately, it been a while since I saw a mallard. I haven't made it down yet this season, but hoping we can get a good cold front to get more ducks down here.
Russ, you are the man! Been on a number of mallard shoots in this area of Arkansas. Flooded timber remains my favorite way to duck hunt, but I usually only get to do it once a year.

We are big duck hunters.
We own land and a lodge two hours from our house, on the Languille River in NorthEast Arkansas. I think our flyway is one of the best in the world for Mallard hunting, if not the best. My boys and I love it.
We have a 15-20 person blind with kitchen, heated area, crow's nest, etc. in flooded timber, along with a lot of other options and land for hunting in the area. I will hunt 20-30 days of the 60-day season in December and January. Nothing better. I'll post some pictures in here during the season.
