Wow. Lilly and Couts should lose their ass for this. What an embarrassment for the Phoenix LE community. So many protocols were ignored that the PD should settle immediately or risk paying out a whole lot more than $5 mil.

Tennessee has a Castle Doctrine. Should an armed perpetrator break into my house they will be quickly introduced to a 5.56 77g round to the leg or shoulder. I do commend this AZ man for holding the guy until the police arrived. However if someone breaks into a house where my family lives I am afraid I would have acted differently.

Shoot to kill. Never shoot to wound.
A dead man can't tell his side of the story.
When I took the class for my CCW back in 92 the instructor told us two to the chest and one to the head.
Plus if he's dead he can't sue for damages.
Back in October 2005 the Castle Doctrine in FL was changed so that it follows you wherever you are legally allowed to carry and you can meet force with deadly force.

X RING, x 2.
PS. Oh yea, and you WILL get the chance to get on the stand. Here in woderful Commiefornia, you would be defending why the courts shouldnt GIVE the intruder your home.
