That's actually not a bad price for a brand new Swat Classic with the new diopter sights, especially since Sig says they will not be selling the Swat quad rail anymore. You may find a lower list price on an auction site, but by the time you tack on the extra fees that nearly every auction seller charges for a credit card transaction, the price difference starts to diminish. Of course you can pay by money order, but I wouldn't buy anything of value off the internet without the protection a credit card offers you. And of course there is added value buying from a trusted member here on TS.

Yep, got one on my Sig 556 Holo so it's not an "assault weapon" under CA law.

Can I be trusted too?

I am looking at 7 of them in stock right now. With lights too.

Buy from secure without hesitation. I have purchased from him with no problems at all.

In what sense stuka? I own both (AK and AR) and can agree that they are very different rifles, but could you please elaborate on this statement.

Here are two pictures of the sig as compares to the regular AR-15's...

Is the SIG 556 better than the AR-15? - THR

stuka, I think the most pertinent similarity between the 556 & AK would be the use of a piston driven system, which is very different to the direct impingement used by traditional ARs. However, even that line is becoming blurred with the AR platforms that are using pistons such as HK and LWRCi. The 556 buffer tube capture assembly looks interesting; I wonder how the bolt carrier group looks and if this was done to avoid carrier tilt.

Edit. I found the following link to be helpful:
http://www.glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=950751

Can anyone post a picture of the upper that includes the bolt? I've never played with one of these before, and now I'm curious because my previous comment on the buffer tube was wrong since there is no buffer (to my understanding).
