So do I need a bullet button for this or no?

Very cool Benelli! A semi-auto shotgun is definitely on the list...

Not sure about the bullet button, but with a removable mag I would guess that the Saiga 12 may require it for the higher capacity mags. I was next to a guy shooting a Saiga 12 at the indoor range a while ago, it was a very cool shotgun. He said it took a bit of work to get it to run reliably, but that it was a blast to own once he got it dialed in.

One thing I learned about magazine fed shotguns like the Saiga is that you cannot leave the mags loaded for very long before the plastic shell deforms into an oval shape, which causes feed issues. I guess this is a big reason why mag fed shotguns haven't gained more mainstream use despite the apparent advantages of how quickly a mag can be changed.

A tube fed shotgun like the Benelli doesn't have this problem as the shells are designed to handle being loaded end-to-end without deformation, but of course the Benelli takes longer to reload then a Saiga 12 with mags ready.

Anybody please feel free to correct me if I am wrong, as I own neither and am just repeating what other experienced owners have explained to me.

That doesn't even have a pistol grip, so it should not be an issue at all. Just don't try to put a high capacity drum mag on it.

***Edit*** I guess it does need to have a fixed mag to be cali legal.

That is pure awesomeness. If I ever move away from pump shotties, it's either that one or a Mossberg 930 SPX.
