I don't know about the diamond coat. The Perma Kote on the other NHCs has been holding up very well. How do you like the straight eight sights?

Love 'em. At first, I was somewhat skeptical and uncertain, but after a bit, I came to the conclusion, "why didn't anyone else think of this before?" I've always shot with combat sights, so it will take some time to get used to.

Finally, I haven't had a chance to put her through her paces so I still have some exploring to do. However, the one thing that jumped out at me is the trigger. Man, I swear 1911s have some of the sweetest triggers. Thanks again for all your help

I liked the straight 8s so much, I not have them on all of my 1911s. Very good rapid acquisition

The permakote has almost completely worn off some of my guns in multiple spots from holster wear. Diamond coat is supposed to be more durable. However, I have not tried it.

YMMV
