SKS questions.

As some of you may know, I have access to my fathers SKS. Its chinese and I just found out it is illegal to modify to accept detachable mags

So I ask this: If I have a yugo SKS which are legal to accept detachable mags. Can I use pre-ban mags that hold more than 10 rnds?

If so I'd like to sell the chinese one we have and get a Yugo.

Also, how much are the yugo and chinese SKS running for. The one we own is in great condition (9+ outta 10). Just a few marks.

Having an SKS with a fixed 10 rnder is like chopping the balls off any gun...What will I do when the zombies come??? I require detachable mags!!!

I purchased a Chinese made SKS rifle about 8 years ago in Las Vegas. At a local gun show (Crossroads of the West FTW!) I got a 50 round bannana mag and a 100 round drum. I loved shooting from the drum! That gun was the best deal ever. I paid like $100. The mags cost me more than the gun. I love the cleaning kit in the stock.

I know I didn't really answer any of your questions. Excuse my walk down memory lane.

LOL, yeah man they are great fun to mess around with out in the boonies. I'd love to get a drum mag.
