Where in Columbus are you going that you would get car jacked, I assume you're just going back and forth to campus and out to the clubs/bars on the weekends, the rough areas on Columbus are easily avoided. Maybe I just take my own safety for granted.

TT, you got a lot of good advice in here. Have you been to the range since this post went up? I think that I read that you have. Did you end up purchasing a pistol?
Wal Mart is your friend for ammo... Thats about all I can add.
