My Pagani Huayra: from Build to Delivery

Kris, we talked about this earlier but it was before you recieved the car, so I figure now that you have some time behind the wheel I should re-ask. What has been your experience with the brakes? They seem to be the only item on the car that is consistently singled out as needing improvement, aside from occasional remarks about the transmission (although I believe any single-clutch transmission will recieve its fair share of negative comments.)

The single clutch is heaven to me. In comfort mode you would think it was a DCT and in Sport it feels amazing (I only drive in sport unless I am showing someone the car, then I go through the driving modes). I have never liked a DCT other than the Veyron. I feel it suits the character of that car nicely.
The brakes are amazing!!!!! They are tight to the touch and that is a good thing because you would probably break your neck if they weren't. They have great feel once you get used to them. The car stops like there is a chute attached to it! The negative comments about the brakes make sense to me since reviewers usually only get 3-12 hours with the car. There are many good reviewers that do an amazing job and I respect them very much but it is impossible to properly evaluate the real ownership experience in a day. Things like these brakes become very natural after a few drives and now I wish all my cars brakes responded and had the feel of the Huayra! This is a car that only gets better and better. You find yourself appreciating new details all the time.
The most impressive part of the Huayra is how well thought out everything is! I didn't like the paddles moving with the steering wheel and now I love that feature. Mainly because the times when it would be annoying I use the stick so you really get all the benefits with a fun solution for the times when moving paddles aren't ideal. Everything about the Huayra was given such a insane amount of attention, including the driving experience. Davide Testi made sure that driving a Huayra is like no other car. I have never enjoyed driving any other car as much as the Pagani Huayra. And it keeps getting better...

Incredible car and thread Kris.
Love your chosen the spec with the exposed carbon. That is almost certainly the route that we will take with the One:1.
Really top work with this thread as well. You've certainly set a high standard for us to try and replicate.

I've read the entire thread. Congratulations for your new car. It looks so beautiful and special. The name is also epic! Your colour taste is also very nice. I like the interior too. I'm not an often user so i saw that you own one of the three Venenos. You are a fortunate person. The experience in Pagani must have been very beautiful. I have visited the museum two times and the second time was present Mr Horacio himself. Amazing person, very polite and willing to answer any questions. These days in the showroom was a Zonda Tricolore and Al Thani's Zonda Cinque few days before the trip to China, to it's new owner.
Congratulations again for your purchase and i wish you to enjoy them both in good health.

I don't believe that the One:1 or any other Koenigsegg will be street legal in the United States anytime in the near future. I hope I'm wrong but I've been told by someone who is very well informed that Koenigsegg's plan for the US is to bring cars in via Show and Display - not fully street legal.

Yes! Koenigsegg emailed me earlier today with some good news... We should all be very excited to see what's coming in 2015! I wish them great success! Like Pagani, they are a small privately owned company that is (IMO) teaching the big boys how it's done! I hear tell we should see a fully street legal Koenigsegg in the USA in 2015.

Thanks everyone!
