dmanero is an unknown quantity at this point
Come on Stephan, if you compare say the CGT to the Atom, the Atom looks like something they threw together and hoped for the best. Don't get me wrong it impressive but in the end a real supercar like the GTR or 599 or any other car in this category could smoke the car in a drag race, maybe not straight of the line but once they hit second and third gear it'll be all she wrote.

You're talking about a couple different things here. First you talk about the Atom not looking like a supercar, then you talk about a drag race. Fact of the matter is that the Atom is not priced anywhere near a CGT or a 599. Does that mean it's not a supercar nor does it deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence? There is very little to the Atom, there are not enough options for fit and finish to compare it to something with a complete interior and exterior. You say it looks like it was thrown together yet, in my opinion, what does exist is masterfully engineered and built. The car will accelerate to 60 and handle on par with the best cars on the planet. I guess you have to ask yourself what makes something a supercar in your eyes.

Needless to say, the Atom happily has a home in my garage.

agreed, the atom is a fantastic bit of kit with supercar pace. this version is unnecessary though, the sc'd type r motor has plenty of shove.
