New SSC supercar to beat Veyron SS... this summer?
#62
Isn't the veyron known for top speed? I just think the problem people have is the fact that it is a new company and it is easy to just be a European exotic fanboy. I am sure E. Bugatti had the same criticism in the beginning, too.

I'm an advisor and good friend of the company. I also co-host Exotics at RTC and we're hosting SSC in the unveiling of the new design on August 8 in Seattle at the Boeing Museum of Flight.
We've hosted them before, and we've hosted Lamborghini corporate when the SV was unveiled. We're also hosting Gumpert on August 21.

The brand, on the other hand ...

You just don't get it. They are a small company that so far has been entirely self-funded. They don't have the budget or manpower of the big players and they don't brag about anything. They are building a company over many years, one step at a time, one achievement at a time.
A lot of you bitch about these cars but never do anything to support them either. You really think Bugatti would bother making their car faster if it wasn't for others closing in on them? Each of these small manufacturers pursue something slightly different, each comes with their own vision, focus and personality, and each has their own place in automotive history. Those who own their UAs love them and are busy using them as intended. You're not likely to see them in front of restaurants or cruising the strip somewhere. All are owned by individuals who have multiple exotics and see the UA as something unique and special in their collection.

We will be posting the details of the event. This unveiling will be the first time the full size model will be seen by the public in a private no-photography setting. Jason will be giving a talk about his design history, some of the cars he's penned and the unveiling. It's going to be very cool.
All of us volunteer our time for these events in Seattle in support of exotic manufacturers of all brands.

Interesting thread
Kit Car? No it's got it's own guts.
Faster than I have the guts to drive? Hell yes
No one should be a critic of a car that holds a world record about speed. Yes it doesn't have the Bugatti Heritage but really Veyron's are just a VW Dick sizing contest. It costs them 8 million a copy to sell a 1.5 million car. Fvcking nuts they are for doing it.
Everyone in the world as Ben stated can have an opinion on the looks. Just like he said. You and your best friend will disagree on just about any female.
I'm not a fan of the looks. Never have been. So I won't own one. Simple. Tons of people dislike the looks of my cars. That's why there are so many manufactures out there to satisfy everyone's tastes.
