2010/2011? Pagani Zonda C9
Reports say the C9 will use a new carbon-titanium chassis and will have almost 4000+ new parts; since Pagani is a carbon-fiber specialist, you can expect many of those parts will be crafted by some sort of special composites.
Reports also say you’ll notice a periscope-like air intake mounted aft of the "belly of the best". Underneath lies an all-new moster: A twin-turbo 6.0-liter V-12 derived from the Mercedes-Benz AMG Black Series, replacing the Zonda’s N/A 7.3-liter Mercedes-based V-12. Pagani has squeezed a nice set of extra horses out of the twin-turbo engine, bringing the amount to 690 bhp (increase from 661), while torque remains nearly identical at around 740 lb.-ft. The potent force will be fed to the rear wheels from a new sequential gearbox- ZF.
The Pagani C9 will also include all-new body panels and an advanced aerodynamics package, which most likely means some sort of active aero. Pagani’s stated production goal for the C9 will be 40 cars per year, which would be a big step up from current Zonda numbers. The price? About $1.3 million.
For the time being all we can do is sit and wonder.... and well, drool. Pagani has never fell short of their vehicles, and i am also 100% sure that Mr. Pagani himself is not going to let us down.
