Allways have, and allways will, especially Ron. (I do however think that the Mc F1 (street)car is great)

What would I rather have than a Veyron?

McLaren F1
Zonda F
Zonda R
Enzo
$1.5M (?) cash.
etc

Although, to do a 25X mph run would be nice No use for it in the garage though.

I do not see any reason to compare the McLaren F1 and the Bugatti Veyron in any other aspect than top speed for production automobiles. These two vehicles are very different in focus, the McLaren being a race car made street legal and the Bugatti a luxury grand touring car made solely for the street.

Yeah, but they both are the pinnacle of an era.

And I disagree on the McLaren being a street legal race car. The Porsche GT1 was just that, the McLaren was designed as a road car, which then went racing.

The Mclaren was to be the ultimate street car. Not a race car turned into a street car. They turned the car into a race car for LeMans.

I think that Ron is giving his honest opinion.

There is more to a supercar than straight line speed.

veyron would make the perfect GT car, that's about it. macca F1, zonda, cgt etc are more desirable to a driver.
