I agree, $20 million seems like a deal for RVP. You know you are getting a proven scorer in the EPL.

 

Mmm, I can see both sides of the coin.

Nobody is going to want to pay over the odds for a 28 year old who would be able to join on a free in 12 months time, especially when he's going to cost you £2-250,000 a week in wages (Which is getting silly now).

But I can also understand Arsenal not wanting to 'give him away' as it were.

Somewhere in region of £15-20M seems fair to me, Fergie is taking the piss at less than £15M though

 

For RVP, you know what? If we sell him and he goes, great. If he sticks around and we lose him next year for $0, who cares? Not like we're going to suddenly turn any money from him into an insane signing.

All I care about is that when the season starts it's resolved one way or another. I want us to start strong and unified. If he's around he's promised to be a pro, and I don't doubt that.

Man U. doesn't really want him... they just want to throw their hat in and mix it up a bit. Maybe piss off City a little.

 

RVP at United would be interesting... Imagine the creativity he and Rooney would have. It'd be like a mini-Barca without the whinging.

 

I'd take RVP strictly as a block on Shitty since I don't think we 'need' him. It would be great to have him but we already have Berba, who we all know I like more.

Juventus have told Robin van Persie they want to pair him with Liverpool's Luis Suarez, as they bid to lure him to Italy in the face of strong interest from Manchester United and City.

 

I never felt as though Berba got a chance to really prove himself at United. I would have loved to have seen play with Drogba.

I don't know mate. Any more news on Chelsea signing Oscar? Last I heard he was doing the medical check. All Brazilians are in London now for the Olympic so now is the time to sign him imo. Maybe they want to wait and make it official after the Olympics so he doesn't break a leg in the tourney or something
